5. A Roadside Stand Textbook Questions and Answers Summary of the Poems : Through
this poem, the poet, Robert Frost expresses his anger at the indifferent
behaviour of the rich towards the poor. A poor farmer builds a vegetable stand
along the highway outside his house. He builds this stand in the hope that
people of passing cars would buy his produce. He only wants to earn a living.
He is not begging for money. However, no car ever stops. The poet says that the
