: In 'Broken Images', Girish Karnad has expressed his feelings of
parental stories - but recently she has published a novel which becomes best
seller across the world. She gets name, fame and money. The
play is set in a studio where Manjula has come to address the audience before
the telefilm of the same novel. The audience get the primary knowledge of her
family and personal life. Gradually, the audience come to know that the love
she portrays for her sister is more of a farce. The
audience come to know that Malini, her sister, is physically disabled girl. She
was center of attention to her parents as well as in her husband's eyes.
Malini's wit, intellect, English speaking ability and liveliness overshadowed
Manjula so much that after Malini's death, she stole her idea…
