I
mean to go in an aeroplane.
I've
read all about it, and now I know
How
they swing the propeller, and off you go!
A
run and a bounce, and you're looking down
From
high in the sky on a little toy town,
And
the field like a bedspread, green and brown
With
ribbony roads, all winding through,
So
empty and quiet, it hardly seems true.
That
anyone's there looking up to see
You
racing along, like a big letter T,
Through
the clouds and into the light.
Smaller
and smaller, and out of sight
And
the acroplane climbs and dips and Swings
While
loudly and proudly the engine sings,
And
the pilot sits in his cockpit there
With
the wireless to bring him the news on the air

Second risk is that the time, money, talent, initiative and creative ability

flop. The film maker has to hear with sheer criticism and public indifference

13. Why is the act of nature described as precise in the poem
"Time and Time Again'?
Ans:
The term precise is meant by clear and accurate viz. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
It's International Standard time referred to here as the time fixed in
Switzerland. Nature in itself is all equal for all. Herein, nature's precise
act or the reality of the gong beaters (víz. the religion heads or
missionaries) is seen when inner-conflict or introspection or back street
quarrel takes place in the consciousness of the masses. Nature is taken herein
as self-realisation or a wisdom that understands the things scientific or
rational way when fanaticism or any other types of curtains are gone or
clockwork is knocked out. Only then, the followers of different religions are
duly understood the exclusive and wholesome-not in fractions the precise nature
,of religion. It's the ultimate mission of human life.
Conclusion
: It's precise act of nature because it tells that the defective clock work is
unnatural and manipulated while LST. or GMT. is exclusive.

18. The Financial Expert is the story of the rise and fall of
Margayya Discuss.
Ans:
Margayya, the central character of the novel has a basic flaw in him. His lust
for money dominates his tale of rise and fall throughout the story. He thinks
that money is the source of peace and prestige in life. He was successful as a
financial expert. He rises from the position of a simple village moneylender
running his business under a Banyan tree to the rich commercial bank of the
town and a money-wizard with the help and subordination of Dr. Pal.
But
we sec Margayya commits blunder in money deposit banking business. He does not
invest the deposit money. He must have thought about earning more than twenty
precent, so that he could be able to return the deposits with due interest.
Another
blunder in his life is his negligence of family life due to which his son Balu
is spoiled in the hands of Dr. Pal.
He
insulted Dr. Pal publicly. Dr. Pal ruins him by spreading the rumour that
Margayya has become bankrupt: Once again Margayya becomes a pauper and once
again he decides to start his business under the banyan tree.
No
doubt Pal and Balu are, to some extent, responsible for his ruin but ultimately
it is Margayya himself who is responsible for his ruin. Pal and Balu could have
done something but not enough to ruin Margayya had Margayya invested the
deposit money wisely.
19. Attempt a character sketch of Balu.
Ans:
Balu is the only child of his parents, Margayya and Meenakshi. He is born after
twelve years of their marriage, he is the lonely child. But his father is
always busy with his financial transactions. He has neither time nor intention
to come back home in time to spend a few moments of leisure with his son. His
mother is busy with the domestic chores and has hardly any time for him. Thus,
Bulu grows neglected and isolated in his early childhood. This has an adverse
impact on his later growth. Balu turns into a stubborn and obstinate child
because of the utter neglect by his parents. He runs away with his father's
valuable accounts book and throws it into the gutter and stands there smiling.
He reaps the childish joy by teasing his parents.
Balu
hates books, studies, teachers and schools. He has failed in the tenth
examination despite tuition at home. He encourages his child to insult his
teachers. He becomes the secretary of the school. He instigates him to boss
others. His teachers are in the awe of him as he is the son of the secretary of
the school. His teachers solve his questions and get him good marks only to
keep their job intach. Balu drinks and wastes money lavishly in restaurants.
This is perhaps the biggest blunder committed by Margayya. When the boy
performs badly, father shouts wildly at him and the boy runs away to freedom in
Madras. He dictates his terms which his father religiously observes after his
return to Malgudi. He is married to Brinda only to be corrected.
Balu
is left free to do whatever he likes. He comes under the evil influence of Dr.
Pal. He indulges himself in drinking, gambling, womanising and somking. He
remains away from home till midnight. He demands the share of his property in a
threatening way. He speaks the language of a hooligan or ruffian. At the
instance at Dr. Pal, Balu witness against his father for latter's assault on
Dr. Pal.
Balu
is rudderless and aimless. He has no achievements, except his father's
unbounded wealth that too the loses towards the end.
Margayya
cannot be absolved of the responsibility of spoiling his son. He is callously
indifferent to the fatherly duties of upbringing a child.
