Artificial
Intelligence (AI) is much more than just a buzzword nowadays. It powers facial
recognition in smartphones and computers, translation between foreign
languages, systems which filter spam emails and identify toxic content on
social media and can even detect cancerous tumors. These examples, along with
countless other existing and emerging applications of AI, help make people's
daily lives easier, especially in the developed world.
As
of October 2021, 44 countries were reported to have their own national Al
strategic plans, showing their willingness to forge ahead in the global AI
race. These include emerging economies like China and India, which are leading
the way in building national Al plans within the developing world.
Oxford
Insights, a consultancy firm that advises organisations and governments on
matters relating to digital transformation, has ranked the preparedness of 160
countries across the world when it comes to using AI in public services. The US
ranks first in their 2021 Government AI Readiness Index, followed by Singapore
and the UK. Notably, the lowest-scoring regions in this index include much of
the developing world, such as sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and Latin
America, as well as some central and South Asian countries.
The
developed world has an inevitable edge in making rapid progress in the
revolution. With greater economic capacity, these wealthier countries are
naturally best positioned to make large investment in the research and
development needed for creating modern AI models. In contrast, developing
countries often have more urgent priorities, such as education, sanitation,
healthcare and feeding the population, which override any significant
investment in digital transformation. In this climate, AI could widen the
digital divide that already exists between developed and the developing
countries.

pain urges me to put down my feelings in your worthy newspaper. Most of the
town area of Dhanbad is deprived of underground water.
The
town is developing very fast and a huge population has gathered around.
Hundreds of apartments and houses are being built. And people go for deep
boring for their drinking water. This has resulted into a major shortage of
underground water.
Through
your newspaper I would like to appeal the government to promote" rainwater
harvesting" and" to stop the deep boring". The local government
should provide the people with" tap water supply" so that there would
be no inconvenience for the big population.
I

smartphones. They mostly prefer YouTube videos, Instagram reals, and online
video games. How will it affect India?
We
all know that time is precious. But the adolescents do not understand this.
Instead of studying and playing in grounds they prefer wasting their time in
front of smartphones. It brings various hazards. The teenagers concentration
power gets destroyed their eyes may get damaged and the brain becomes blunt.
Moreover they may get attracted towards different forms of cyber- crime. They
may commit the cyber- crime or they may become a victim. The students are the
best resource for a country and our human resource is being wasted.
It
is the prime duty of the government, the teachers and the parents to keep a
check on the students. A student must not be allowed to be on smartphone for a
long time. The real world made by God is beautiful and refreshing whereas the
virtual world is captivating and destructive.

Forest, fisheries, grassland and cropland are the four biological system of the

Ans:
Taplow was waiting for Mr Crocker Harris. He had less attendance and the
teacher had called him for extra class, then only he would get his "remove
" cleared.
13. Why did the author want to go to the Mount Kailash? What
challenges did he face on his way to the Mount Kailash?
Ans:
The author,Nick Middleton wanted to go to the Mount Kailash to witness Kora. As
a challenge he had to travel a long distance having different atmosphere and he
even felt sick at Hor and Darchen.

What did the poet realise when he crossed the age of eleven years?

18. Who were Yuri and Elsa? What role did they play in
Einstein's life?
Ans:
Elsa was the cousin of Albert Einstein. She had sympathy for her brother. When
she found that Einstein was depressed about his exams and results she tries to
motivate him. She says that Einstein did not have to know anything, he only had
to understand what he was taught and to be able to repeat in the exams.
Yuri
was the friend of Einstein. He helped Einstein to find a doctor who could
certify that Einstein was having a nervous breakdown and he should not go to
school. He even finds the doctor who gives him the medical certificate that he
needed. These were the only two people who had an understanding for the little
Einstein and they supported Einstein all the time.
19. Describe the character of Taplow in the play 'The Browning
Version'?
Ans:
Taplow is a character in the Play "The Browning Version". We found
him to be waiting for Mr Crocker Harris at his house. He had to take extra
class because of his shortage of attendance than only he would get his remove
cleared.
From
the conversation between Taplow and the science teacher Mr Frank, we come to
know a lot about Taplow. He was a talkative boy who was a sycophant as well. He
was good at mimicry as he was copying the dialogue of Mr crocker Harris. He
said that he loved science and disliked language. He was critical about Mr
crocker Harris for his being strict and expressionless. But he was honest
enough to admit that unlike other masters Mr Crocker Harris was not a sadist.
He was desperate to get his remove cleared.When he was mocking at Mr Crocker
Harris and Millie Harris entered into the room he thought she had listened
everything and he got very scared.
