When the Britishers left India, our country was in a shattered condition, economically, socially and culturally. The main task before the government was to improve welfare measures for the people. Subject: Regarding rash and reckless driving

Sir,

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to highlight the problem caused due to the rash and reckless driving in people in our city. Everybody seems be in a hurry. Drivers of the vehicles often use their strength at the accelerator in order to reach their destination as soon as possible. Due to overspeeding, there has been a great increase in accidents. Yours faithfully

52. Write an article on the need for education of girls in the country for national development.

Ans-

GIRLS' EDUCATION FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Women mean one half of humanity. It clearly indicates how important they are in the world. All talks of national reconstruction are hollow without the education of women. We cannot expect the development of our nation if women are not provided education. So far, it has been a male-dominated world. Women played only second fiddle to men in all walks of life. They were condemned to be within the four-walls of the house. However, education has given them a new confidence. The scenario is changing fast. The academic world is no longer the monopoly of men.

More and more young women are coming forward to challenge the dominance of men. Educated girls and women are contributing to the welfare of society. They have proved to be better doctors, artists, administrators, academicians and engineers than many of their male counterparts. What we need to do is to abolish gender bias.
