MAIN POINTS

'The Adventure of The Three Garridebs' is written by Arthur Conan Doyle. He was a famous detective story writer and creator of fictional character, Sherlock Holmes.

'The Adventure of the Three Garridebs' is a story about the scheme of John Garrideb who with the help of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson investigates the third Garrideb.

The American Garrideb visits Holmes and Watson as he was not happy with Nathan involving a detective.

Garrideb created a scenario and claimed that a Kansas based millionaire, Hamilton would transfer his fifteen million dollar estate to John with a condition that he had to share it with two more Garridebs.

Holmes doubts the story of John so he decides to contact Nathan for further investigation.

During their visit to Nathan's house, they found a nameplate which confirmed that he was a Garrideb.

During Holmes and Watson's visits, John Garrideb was happy because he had found out the third Garrideb and its proof was a newspaper advertisement placed by Howard Garrideb.

Holmes finds out that the newspaper advertisement was published by John himself as it was written in an American style.

John insists Nathan go to Birmingham to meet Howard Garrideb.

John Garrideb's true identity is revealed when an inspector shows him a bunch of photographs in which he was named John Winter, Alias Killer Evans.

John Winter had killed Rodger Presbury, a forger, whose description was similar to a former inhabitant of Nathan's house.

Holmes and Watson go to Garrideb's house where they find John Winter secretly opening a trapdoor.

In a round of fire shots, Watson was hit in the leg and in turn Holmes struck Evan with the gun's butt.
