As he walked deeper into the forest, a faint light appeared to it in the distance. Max felt drawn to it and walked towards the light. As he approached, he saw a magnificent tree shining with a soft, magical light.

As he touched the tree, Max felt a strange energy run through his body. He saw visions of old civilizations and magical creatures. Max felt changed after touching the tree. He left the forest feeling different, as if he had discovered a secret world.

Ans- "The Divine Image" is a poem written by William Blake. In the poem, W.Blake equalise God and man. According to poet, God has created man in His own image. So people should give importance to the soul rather than the physical body. Human beings of the whole world have the common divine virtues or human virtues. So God is not different from these virtues. In this way William Blake equalises God and man.

38. What do you understand by 'Psalteries of Summers'?

Ans- Psalteries of summer is a poetic and evocative phrase. Psalteries, refers to a musical instrument, specifically a stringed instrument. In this context it's used metaphorically to describe the sounds of nature.

It suggests the musical, enchanting, and soothing sounds of nature during the summer season. It's as if the trees, birds and rustling leaves are creating a symphony of sounds, a natural music that is both calming and uplifting.

The main factors contributing to India's rapid population growth are high birth rates, declining mortality rates, and inadequate family planning. The total fertility rate (TFR) in India is 2.3 children per woman, which is higher than the replacement rate of 2.1.

The consequences of unchecked population growth are far-reaching. It puts pressure on the country's resources, infrastructure, and services, leading to issues like poverty, unemployment, and environmental degradation. Furthermore, it hinders the country's ability to achieve sustainable development and improve the overall quality of life.

To address this issue, the Indian government must implement effective population control measures, such as improving access to family planning services, promoting education and awareness, and incentivizing smaller family sizes.

21st November 2024, Pakur:

A Blood donation Camp was organized by RK+2 High School Littipara on 21 November 2024. It is a way of our school in bringing a ray of hope to contribute to the serious problems of acute shortage of blood. India faces a blood shortage of 3 million units. The problem can be addressed if an additional two percent of Indians donate blood, as opened by the Health experts.

We need 12 million units of blood every year but just about nine million units are being donated. Our school has been religiously organizing blood donation and Thalassemia camps every year. Students and the faculty members come forward voluntarily to donate blood. Blood donation can save lives of innumerable persons. Donation of blood is very critical and crucial for saving lives many patients and those who have met with accidents. It is such a great service or contribution to the society and people living in it.

A team of doctors and nurses of Prathama Blood Centre came for collection of blood. About 30 volunteers including students and staff of the university had volunteered for donating blood. A Certificate of appreciation, donation card, refreshment and a token of respect was given to each donor as a token of gratitude.

According to the author, science fiction came into existence during the last two centuries. The scientific and technological changes came into existence after the Industrial Revolution in 1800. After only this time, science fiction could be written.

Ans- In Rabindranath Tagore's dance drama "Chandalika", the new birth for Prakriti refers to her spiritual awakening and liberation from the societal constraints that had bound her.
