January, 2026
I
have just received your letter and feel happy to see your progress report. You
are doing well. But I came to know that you are not taking part in games and
sports. You are neglecting your health and getting sick now and then.
Dear
brother, never neglect your health. It is rightly said that health is wealth. A
healthy man is he who is free from diseases. He is physically fit and mentally
alert. He can enjoy all pleasures of life. He eats well. He sleeps well. He can
do his duty properly. But an unhealthy man is always in the grip of disease and
sickness.
Be
careful about your health. You should get up early in the morning and must go
for a walk. Take interest in games and sports. Go to the ground and enjoy
playing for some time. You should follow the rules of health. Keep away from
habits and things that ruin your health.
These
are few tips. I hope you'll follow them and be healthy and cheerful.
With
best wishes.

My
dear Santosh,
Your
friend Raju visited me today. From him I came to know that you are not
utilising your time properly. Your bad result also speaks the same.
Dear
brother, time is precious. One who does not honour the time, fails in every
walk of life. Lapse of time is never regained. We have a lot of work to
complete but we have limited time. Work done in the right direction at right
tirne can never go unrewarded.
Use
your time properly. Plan your time. You must estimate how much time you have
and how much studies you have to finish within the given lime. Do not waste
your time in wandering here and there in useless activities. Proper use of time
can only give you a bright future.
These
are the few tips for your better future. I hope you'll, follow them sincerely.
With
best wishes

To make books available in the library
Sir,
Our school library has a glorious past. It has great importance in providing us
the study materials and reference books.
Unfortunately,
it is undergoing great deterioration. Most of the books are out-of-date. The
syllabus has changed but most of the books are based on the old syllabus. Many
pages of reference books are tom, but no steps are being taken to stop it.
Kindly look into the matter and make more latest books available.

Q. 48. Write a paragraph on 'My Best Friend' Or 'An ideal
teacher'.
Ans.
My
Best Friend
These
days it is very difficult to get a real friend or a friendly class mate. True
friendship is a rare thing. But I am fortunate in this respect. I have Sumit,
my best friend. He studies with me in the school. He is our neighbour. He is a
gem. He is not selfish at all. He is always helpful. I like his company because
our interests are alike. He is humorous but not cheap. He is tidy in his dress,
speech and habits. He has set his aims high. He inspires me to study, to play
and to think. Our closeness for each other is mutual. Our friendship is the
envy of my classmates.
or,
An
ideal teacher
An
ideal teacher is rare these days. An ideal teacher is one who gives out every
thing. An ideal teacher loves his profession of teaching. He doesn't
distinguish among his students. He loves them all. He is always devoted to his
work. He doesn't expect anything from his students. He has a missionary zeal.
His students are everything for him. He takes great pleasure in teaching them.
In a way, an ideal teacher is meant for others. But it is sad that the society
ignores such values of an ideal teacher. We mustn't forget that he is the real
builder of a great nation.

Ans.

playmates. She used to see a bus pass by her village daily. It was her
favourite passtime. The new set of passengers each time the bus carried was a
source of joy for Valli. She wished to travel by the bus. The bus daily went to
the nearest town, Valli watched the bus regularly. It developed in her a strong
desire to go to the town by the bus.
Valli
had taken much pain to plan her bus ride. She planned this ride very carefully.
She quietly listened to the conversation between the passengers to collect more
details about the journey She found that the town was six miles away from her
village. The journey to one side took forty-five minutes. The fare was thirty
paise one side. Thus she had to save sixty paise for journey to the town and
retum back.
She
saved up the fare with great difficulty. She thriftily saved sixty paise-the
fair for the journey to and back from the town. She resisted every temptation
to buy peppermints, toys, balloons, etc. She suppressed the desire to ride the
merry-go-round at the village fair. In this way she saved up the fare for the
joumey.

was, physically dull, he was very quick mentally. He took decision fastly.
Actually he was a spy who took much work from his mind. He had an important
papar on Missile. Max, his rival secret agent, wanted to take that paper on his
Gun Point. Max demanded for the paper but Ausable did not show any nervousness.

Danby.
or, Describe how Horace Danby was arrested by police.
or, Describe how Horace Danby robbed a safe.
or, Horace Danby was a successful thief. What went wrong when he

Ans.
Horace Danby decided to rob Shotover Grange's safe. He studied the house,
electric wiring, paths and garden. He was confident that he would rob it
successfully. So he entered there to rob the safe. Horace was getting ready to
break open the safe, just then, a woman dressed in red, appeared at the door.
She posed herself to be the mistress of the household. She threatened that she
would call police. Horace requested her to let him go. He was ready to do
anything. She told him that she had come to take her jewels but had forgotten
the numbers of the safe. She asked him to open the safe for her. Horace had to
open it. He forgot to wear his gloves. The lady possessed all the jewels. He
left his fingerprints everywhere. He was arrested by the police for the
robbery. Thus we can say that the lady in red turned out to be smarter and
cleverer than Horace Danby.
